Yakinori leaves are made from seaweed and are typically used to make maki sushi. Rice and other flavorings are rolled into the leaves. The long roll is then cut into equal-sized pieces. Caution: Due to their high iodine content, yakinori leaves should only be consumed in small quantities (max. 3 leaves). Seaweed leaves are available in half and whole sizes. The designation "gold" indicates their special quality; they are softer and suitable for quick consumption. They should not be left to stand for more than 30 minutes before processing, otherwise they become brittle and may tear.
