Blackcurrant nectar with 35% direct juice content. Blackcurrants were cultivated in monasteries and on farms in the 14th century. Blackcurrant nectar was one of the first three products pressed at the van Nahmen cider mill in the 1930s. Due to its slightly tart acidity, the nectar is ideal as a spritzer. Fruit processing has a long tradition at the van Nahmen cider mill and private winery in Hamminkeln, Rhineland. Nothing is removed from the juices and nothing is added: no preservatives, no flavorings. Particular attention is paid to the use of heirloom fruit varieties and thus also to the preservation of traditional, endangered cultivars.
