Only the first pressing of exclusively Styrian pumpkin seeds may be labeled this way. Good pumpkin seed oil can be recognized by its color reflections: From above, it appears red, but when viewed through, it appears green. Gray-brown colors indicate inferior seeds, excessively high roasting temperatures, excessively long or excessively warm storage, or questionable additives. Pumpkin seed oil is pressed from hand-picked, dried seeds.
