The salt is extracted from the mountain using drills and a great deal of manual labor. These salt chunks are hand-selected and then crushed, ground, sorted, and stored underground. The deposits of this natural salt are among the highest quality in the world, distinguished by their exceptional purity. Everything that is mechanically removed remains in the mountain. We therefore guarantee maximum sustainability. Nowhere else in the world is extraction as complex, as salt deposits elsewhere occur in homogeneous salt domes. This means they are hardly mixed with other rock and are therefore low in minerals. They are extracted and processed using heavy machinery and large-scale blasting.
