Typischerweise werden dafür frische Rote-Bete-Wurzeln zuerst gereinigt, gewaschen und geschält, um Erde und Schalenreste zu entfernen. Danach wird das Gemüse schonend dehydriert bzw. getrocknet, sodass das enthaltene Wasser entzogen wird – dieser Schritt ist entscheidend, damit sich später ein aromatisches Pulver herstellen lässt.
