Puffed amaranth, organic, 250 g
DE-ÖKO-001 Amaranth is not a grain, but rather a fine grain of a goosefoot plant. Its main cultivation area is southern Germany. Amaranth contains high levels of high-quality protein, iron, and calcium. The flour made from amaranth grains makes pastries moister and sweeter; it is used for cookies, pancakes, or waffles. It is an excellent addition to grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds; it contains twice as much iron and four times as much calcium as durum wheat. Puffed, it is wonderful in pastries and muesli, and as a breading.
